Consensus Around The Web: Kinect Is Failing

Kinect hasn’t been out for one week, but already the a general consensus is being formed. So what’s it you ask? Well it’s not one Microsoft will like.

Various publications, big and small are saying that as for now, they’re not convinced that the handless device will deliver. Many cite lag as one of the biggest issues, others are not sure it’ll be as popular as the Wii, and the casual market, which the Wii dominiates is what Microsoft is after.

Still, there is still time for Kinect to prove itself amongst gamers when it comes available for the holidays. Only then will a true consensus be formed. For now, Microsoft must do its best to deliver, or else that consensus that has already formed will remain.

    theres 3 things really hurting M$ with this.
    1 kinect is laaaaaaaaaaaaaaagy!!!!!!!!!!!
    2 kinect is expensive!!!!!!!!!!
    3 even if it was picture perfect which its not, but even if it was, and even if it was cheap they still would struggle for 1 simple reason.
    there going after a market they cant get.
    ninty is the king of casual land, there is no possible way for M$ to break in and steal the throne.
    because ninty is seen as a kids console, a family friendly console good clean fun.
    the 360 on the other hand is not seen as a family console, its not seen as good clean fun. its seen as a adults console.
    parents wont buy it for their kids because than they could have access to inappropriate games, and adults wont buy it because no adult wants to play with fury animals!!!
    well, at least not that type.

    i wish they would not try there wasting their time and money there never going to get it.
    i wish they would spent that time and resorces fixing up kinect so it has no lag and is pin point accurate.
    than get some really cool first party hardcore games on it.
    enough of this casual crap, and enough of this relying on third parties to do it for us.
