Rumor Thirst: Sonic Adventure On It’s Way To The XBLA

by Colton West on January 11th, 2010, under Articles, Rumor, Xbox Live

Believe it or not, there actually was a time when the 3D Sonic games weren’t awful and this game would be a prime example of that. Sonic Adventure is considered to be one of the best games in the Sonic series and according to a Dutch Sega fansite, the game is on it’s way to the Xbox 360 Arcade.

Sega enjoys re-packaging their old games so it shouldn’t surprise people that this could be a possibility. It seems that SegaOnline (the fansite) had taken down the story at the request of Sega Europe. You wouldn’t think Sega would try to hide it if it weren’t true right? There is also mention of an ‘Extended Package’ which could be the bonus content seen in Sonic Adventure DX on the Gamecube years back.

I would enjoy playing Sonic Adventure in HD with achievements so if this does turn out to be true, sign me up.

I haven’t actually had a chance to play the original dreamcast version. I only played the DX edition and it wasn’t bad but I personally think Sonic Adventure 2 was far better.

I liked and beat both of them. I actually replayed the first one a little while ago on game cube. Man go back and play them and listen to the voice acting. I couldn’t believe how terrible it was.

Yeah I know I played DX a few months ago for about 10 minutes before shutting it off I couldn’t handle the voice acting at all.
