Yesterday we reported on rumors spreading the internet that Infinity Ward was not committed to working on the third entry in the Modern Warfare series. Now it seems that new gossip has made it’s way to the net and it sheds a little light on the situation at hand.
Reports seem to indicated that Infinity Ward is working with people from Sony Online Entertainment, one of which could be the lead designer of EverQuest II and that a number of Blizzard employees have also been brought in to help get the game off it’s feet.
Fans of the Call of Duty series shouldn’t fret too much though as it would appear that Call of Duty will continue to be an annual franchise with this untitled MMO running along side it. A Call of Duty MMO perhaps? Only time will tell.

Well I was never the “online” kind of guy although I do enjoy it, if true, it’ll be interesting to see how this plays out.. I think they should move on and create a new IP, IMO not a MMO.
