On January 29th, Mass Effect 2 will be out for the Xbox 360 and PC, and according to the first review that we’ve seen which comes from Xbox Official Magazine, it’s almost perfect.
9.5/10 was the final verdict given by the magazine according to scans provided by allgamesbeta.
Mass Effect 2 has an “enveloping universe filled with interesting characters and revealing stories,” the mag said, and its “outstanding, flexible combats in gorgeous environments.”
OXM did point out that the game’s story was “a bit disappointing”. Not a good sign since this is what a lot of the fans enjoy most about the franchise; but then again, would you argue against an overall score of 9.5/10? Of course not, and sometimes what’s disappointing for some is totally awesome for others so don’t let this hinder you from picking Mass Effect 2 up.
Doesn’t surprise me. I was expecting this game to be pretty decent. Im sure the story is fine also.
