Yesterday at Gamescom, Bioware shocked the gaming world with its reveal that the much lauded title, Mass Effect 2, will see a January 2011 release on PS3. But does that mean future ME titles will be available on said console?
BioWare boss Ray Muzyka said that’d be a “good guess”.

UPDATE 2: Not only will Mass Effect 2 be available on the PS3 in January of 2011, it’ll also feature bonus content not found on neither the PC or Xbox 360 versions.
This according to the official ME2 site:
“The PlayStation 3 edition will include the full Mass Effect 2 game and hours of bonus content, making this the perfect introduction to BioWare’s award-winning action RPG franchise.”
UPDATE: We’ve added the Mass Effect 2 (PS3) trailer. Quench it past the break.
Original: It’s done. Massive Effect 2 is coming to PS3 in January 2011.

According to Bioware, Mass Effect 3′s story will be “shaped by over 1,000 variables” from the two previous titles.
Just like Mass Effect 1 decisions impacted that of 2, the second installment will do the same to the third. Only this time it’s the first two installments combined.

Oh oh, Gamespot has apparently released info that should have remained a secret until E3. But what the hec, it’s not like you were not expecting Mass Effect 3, Dragon Age 2 and Dead Or Alive 5 to appear at the show.
You didn’t? That’s cool too, we’re here to bring you the news, and we’re sure this time you’re liking what you hear.

I’m not one of those guys who’d purchase a good game, complete all the missions and trade it in. I’m a collector. I love stacking my shelf with the titles that I’ve purchased. Enter my house and instantly you’ll know I’m a gamer, hardcore.
That’s one of the reasons why I’m not too keen on the path the industry is moving in with game distribution. This download only phenomena does not tickle my fancy at all. I love the hard copies of things. Call me old fashion but to me, nothing’s better than looking at my game library ranging from NES days until now.
Many games I’ve purchased are no longer around, they didn’t last. In fact I wasted my cash on them, but there are scores of tittles in my library I enjoyed so much that they won’t be traded in for nothing else.
For this generation, here’s 4 of them:

Bioware is planning on wowing its fans soon. How soon? Go here to the company’s official website and you’ll find a timer that will come to an end in five days.

Millions are already enjoying Bioware’s Mass Effect 2, but just in case you are not one of them, because the price tag gives you a headache, Amazon got you covered, even if it’s but for one day.

January has been unusually cluttered with big name video game releases and although most have perform decently, there’s one game that’s kicking all else’s butt. It’s mass damage.
Nope it’s not Bayonetta, and neither is it Darksiders – Mass Effect 2 is the best selling game in January… by far.

Project director for Mass Effect 2, Casey Hudson has revealed that there’s a possibility you might not be able to migrate your saved data from said title to the upcoming third installment.
Spoiler Alert: Be warned, there are details in what you’re about to read you probably don’t want to know, but if you’re like me, then it doesn’t matter.
Come past the break.

EA’s been going through some rough times lately, although the publishing giant has seen games like Mass Effect 2 perform very well, its overall health is in question, with company stock taking a deep, and investors losing even more confidence in the giant. So what’s the problem? Well according to Michael Patcher, EA makes games “people don’t want”.

If you’ve been playing Mass Effect 2 on standard definition, you’re probably having a hard time reading the small text. Well if you’re hoping for Bioware to fix the problem with a patch, forget it because they won’t, they can’t.

We have some big news for PS3 owners from an insider source who’s name we can’t reveal. The conversation was rather interesting but the information released was nothing short of astounding.

Bioware, the company that has been performing awfully well lately has said its best work is yet to come, this according to co-founder Ray Muzyka.

The game that’s been the recipient of critical praise across the boards has now become one of the fastest selling titles of 2010.

If you own a PC or Xbox 360 and have purchased Mass Effect 2, you can now download the free DLC pack which features Zaeed from the Cereberus Network.
