Most won’t be able to attend this year’s GamesCom which happens in Cologne, Germany from August 18-21, but if you own a PS3, and you’re interested in Sony’s press conference, you’re in luck, as the full thing will be broadcast live from the console’s virtual world dubbed PlayStation HOME.
Veemee is a developer responsible for a lot of the content found in PlayStation Home like the London Pub, the Audi Space, clothing and franchise based costumes. In a recent presentation at this year’s Game In Scotland, Veemee’s Kirk Ewing claimed that Home will finally come out of Beta stage this December.
As of now, PS Home has only allowed people of specific regions to speak to each other, but according to a rumor from TheSixthAxis, things are about to change.
PlayStation Home has seen a ton of improvements since it launched almost three years ago, with 2009 being its biggest thus far. Over 50 new spaces and a 100 new games have been added already and we’re not even halfway into the year.
