Most won’t be able to attend this year’s GamesCom which happens in Cologne, Germany from August 18-21, but if you own a PS3, and you’re interested in Sony’s press conference, you’re in luck, as the full thing will be broadcast live from the console’s virtual world dubbed PlayStation HOME.

The PS3′s Home has been on an upswing recently according to Sony, with the giant claiming the service has been a “huge success”. It’s garnered over 14 million users since its launch back in 2008, with more gamers registering with each passing minute.

So with it’s apparent success, many would think Microsoft would be prepping a similar service for the Xbox 360, but according to Xbox UK chief Stephen McGill, that’s not the case.
