According to Fox News, PS3, Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii are the last major gaming consoles we’ll see, as said medium is being beaten to death by Android and Apple devices.
So what’s the game pushing said consoles to their death? Zynga’s Angry Birds.
Angry Birds landed on the PlayStation Store in January and according to Lazard Capital Markets’ Colin Sebastian, the game’s already PSN’s bestselling title.
Alan Wake was well received by many a reviewer, but although it was critically acclaimed, sales didn’t pan out too well. That’s not the reason for Remedy Entertainment’s co-founder Petri Järvilehto departure, however. Yet one must wonder where will that franchise go next.
As for Petri Järvilehto, he’ll become Rovio’s newly-made senior vice president of console development.
