Speaking to The Verge, the lead architect of the Playstation 4 makes Sony’s upcoming console even more attractive for developers and consumers alike.
“Let’s start the show ”, Shuhei Yoshida tweeted through the Playstation 4, as he was spectating a Killzone: Shadow Fall match before deciding to join it. These, among tons of other features, are being discussed in The Verge’s interview with Mark Cerny.
One specific highlight of the whole great interview was Cerny saying Playstation 4 multi-platform titles will be straight-out better on that platform.
“I believe an underappreciated aspect of what’s going on is that PlayStation 4 is the world’s most powerful games console, and I think that is going to become increasingly apparent as time goes by. Even if titles are multi-platform, if the game experience is more responsive or more visually attractive on a certain platform, it definitely does play into the overall success.”
If this is true, developers will do a u-turn; right now, they’re developing titles (mostly) for the Xbox 360 and port them to the Playstation 3, but Playstation 4 aims to reverse that.
