Bioshock Infinity PC Requirements

Bioshock Infinite will embrace the prowess of current PCs, Irrational Games technical director Chris Kline has revealed, with full-resolution textures and DirectX 11 features. Specs inside.

Said Kline:

BioShock Infinite is a DX11 game. Though you only need DX10-compatible hardware to play, having a DX11 graphics card gives you access to contact-hardening dynamic shadows, diffusion depth of field, high definition ambient occlusion and optimized anti-aliasing. Each of these features was developed in close collaboration with AMD’s graphics experts to take maximum advantage of modern DX11 hardware.

He added:

To show off all of that glorious PC pixel-pushing power, we’re shipping with unadulterated, full-resolution textures right in the box. You may not enjoy the three-DVD install, but we hope you will appreciate the jaw-dropping detail our amazing team of artists lavished on the game.

But you won’t need a high-end PC to enjoy the game.

So you have a sweet gaming rig at home, but what about when you’re on the road for work, taking a break between classes, or visiting your relatives? We know that you appreciate being able to bring your gaming with you and may not always have a beefy machine available,” says Kline. “We’ve worked hard to include graphics options that scale both up and down, so you can play BioShock Infinite even on less powerful setups with integrated graphics.

According to the minimum system requirements the game will run on a HD 3000 Integrated graphics part, commonly found in earlier generation Intel i-Series CPUs.

A complete range of visual tweaking will be available, too, plus six pre-sets from “Very Low” to “Ultra”.

Steam Cloud support means your game save is never more than a log in away, and Steam Big Picture Mode means you’re all set to play on a big screen in your lounge.

sure, ill believe it when i see it.
ALLOT of developers say oh weve fully optimized the game for PC, and the PC version is nigh on indistinguishable from the console versions!
not to mention the first 2 bioshock games were not exactly great PC games, nor are really any 2K game.
MP3 had some ok settings, nothing like the witcher 2 or metro 2033, but nice enough bad thing about them was how poorly optimized they were!
memory hog to say the least……..
