Battlefield 3 Patch 1.02 Didn’t Fix Mic Problem, DICE Working on Solution

Although Sony admitted to PS3 hardware probably being the cause of Battlefield 3 voice chat issue, DICE said it’s “investigating causes and possible solution.”

“We’re aware of the problems affecting VoIP and we’re investigating causes and possible solution,” said DICE via twitter. “Thanks for your patience,” said the firm elsewhere.

Hopefully a fix is not hard to find. Patch 1.02 went live earlier this week.

I’m curious as to the cause of the issue. When I am playing and our squad goes into a match I often have to switch it from squad to Team for them to hear me. This works for me at least.
