Weekend Quencher 08/27/11 – All Of This Gaming Stuff, Edition

A lot’s been going on recently. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim will see timed exclusive come to Xbox 360 first, thanks to a deal signed between MS and Bethesda (Microsoft must be paying them really well). EA’s trying to screw gamers with Battlefield 3 by forcing them to accept ludicrous terms and conditions of its online service, Origin, because the publisher knows gamers want to the play game. GameStop decided to remove all Onlive vouchers found in PC versions of Deus Ex: Human Revolution because, according to the retailer, Onlive is its competition, and that’s simply not how they conduct business. Steamworks will soon be integrated fully into PSN? Man, there’s a lot happening – plus Hurricane Irene’s bearing down on the East Coast. Lord have mercy.

It’s the weekend, friends, what’s your forecast?

I have an early breakfast meeting tomorrow with a friend, and I’ll be out all day when that’s down. Gaming-wise, I’ll be in Killzone 3′s MP, as I believe it’s the best multiplayer shooter in the entire universe. Catch me there – Maestro-GTUnit.

Other than that I’ll probably take an outing with my queen come Sunday evening after church, maybe taking a long drive or something. That’s it!

I know Hurricane Irene is tearing up the East Coast at the moment, so we’re praying for you, ExclusivesMostly. Let’s pray the damage isn’t too extensive, and recovery will be speedy.

Have a great one, folks!

just got back from a friends 21st god dam it its 4 in the morning and i feel like its freaking lunch time!
wheres the chloroform when you need it?
    ;)
im having a blast with deus ex, about 7 hours in now, also writing up my piece.
its not as indepth as i was expecting, you really cant influence and change peoples thoughts of you like i thought you could.
i thought it would be like alpha protocol where if you pissed someone off they would treat you like shit, refuse to help you and such.
but deus ex really does not do that.
great game, i just wish it would have that character manipulation alpha protocol has.
also i wish it had the AI and systems from conviction.
in that you can play cat and mouse with the AI, set off a explosive and draw enemies to a location.
deus ex you cant do that because if you blow something up they magically instantly know where you are.
gotta say convictions still the best stealth game released!

Thanks 4 keeping me in your thoughts, Ernice. I shouldn’t be badly affected by it though. I’m sorta out of range, thankfully.

Yeah, was thinking about that. That’s good to know, Huffpost is reporting major damage, so it’s good to know you’re out of range!
