PC Players who thought the Team Death Match mode in Battlefield 3 would feature 32-against-32 players, building up to a 64-player brawl, will have their hopes dashed by the news that across platforms, the mode will be limited to 12 versus 12.
According to the BF3Blog, a Battlefield fansite, DICE made known the news during GamesCom 2011, dispelling the rumor that the 24-player console cap would not be applied to the PC version. Also, Team Death Match will not feature vehicles.
In conquest mode, however, PC players will get to enjoy their 64-player battles, while consoles will be limited to 12 versus 12 matches.
Battlefield 3 releases in late October for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.
