In Battlefield 3, You Can Customize Your Weapons “Thousands” Of Times

Battlefield 3 will boast over 50 weapons, and combined with all the different customizing options in the game, you’ll have no lack of variety.

A post on Battlelog sees DICE boasting of “thousands of weapon customization options” in the upcoming shooter.

In the example pictured above, a rifle has been equipped with a heavy barrel, bipod, and a 4X magnification combat scope – just the ticket for medium to long range targets, or to lay down suppressive fire to back up team mates.

If you choose to add a suppressor, foregrip and quick acquisition holographic scope, and it becomes the quintessential weapon for close quarters combat.

Unlocks will include, amongst others things, optics, suppressors, bipods, barrels, underslung grenade launchers, underslung shotguns, foregrips, flashlights, and laser sights.

Battlefield 3 comes out in late October for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.

I will believe it when I see it. Devs are always talking about how extensive customization is and then you get the game and there are just a handful of options.
