Duke Nukem Sales Disappointing, Says Pachter

Wedbush Morgan Securities analyst Michael Pachter, has lowered the forecast for Take-Two in light of Duke Nukem’s poor sales showing, saying they don’t think it’ll sell close to their first estimates of 3 million.

Instead, Pachter and crew see the title selling 1.5 million units in Q1, and in tandem, they’ve lowered Take-Two’s earnings from $375 million to $350.

“Of the major publishers, Take-Two has had the fewest ‘misses’ in terms of game quality over the last two years, and as a result, delivered a profitable FY:11 without a GTA release,” Pacther said.

He also expects GTA V to release not next year, but the following.
