PS Vita Won’t Launch In Europe And North America This Year

Although many of us thought Sony would do its best to release PS Vita in the U.S. and even Europe by the end of this year, the firm’s confirmed to Geoff Keighley that a release in said regions won’t happen until early next year.

Speaking on Bonus Round, Geoff Keighley said the handheld console won’t make it this year to the U.S. nor Europe, but a release was feasible in Japan.

I’d previously held the thought that because of the tsunami and earthquake catastrophe in Japan, Sony would instead choose to release PS Vita in the U.S. and then make its move in the orient. However that’s not the case, and we’ll have to settle for next year.

Keep hope alive, though, because things can change, just don’t put all your eggs in one basket.

They said it would launch holiday 2011. Guess they meant only Japan. We’ll see what happens in due time though.
