Just like the real world where about 2 percent of the people make 97 percent of all the cash, Splash Damage’s creative director Richard Ham has shed light on the reality of games development. It’s rough he said, because only a few studios make all the money.
When asked during an MTV interview to pinpoint the biggest problem currently facing the industry, Ham replied:
“One percent of the games make 99 percent of the profit, leaving everything else to wither on the vine. This can be bad for innovation.
We’ve got to find ways to get people interested in some of the other stuff out there, because a lot of it is REALLY good and deserves to succeed, otherwise risk-taking will become rarer and rarer.”
Good point he makes, and whether Brink will be able to bite piece of the pie is yet unknown, but the dev could learn a thing or two from that 1 percent, as those games are released with online components that work on day one, instead of this.

thats a load of shit!
you will make plenty of money, IF you put out decent games!
look at team bondi, first game they ever made is LA Noire, set to be the first game of its type EVER!
when was the last time you could say that about a game?
there going to make so much cash off this there going to be able to make suits out of it!
literally!
Yes agreed. These devs just need to make better games and the word will spread. Couldn’t agree more.
brinks a great idea poorly executed.
if they spent more time polishing it so it looked, and played like a ps3 game it could of done quite well.
definitely the most fun ive had playing online since resistance 2!
