Over two weeks have passed since the PlayStation Network was compromised, leaving tens of millions of gamers game-less during that time. Sony said last week that PSN would be up this week, yet the firm’s latest update tells a totally different story, so this might be a while. What’s a game like me to do, then? After you’ve spent time doing all what’s necessary, going the extra mile getting involved in all sorts of activities to keep busy, there comes a time when all you want to do is game.
It’s the weekend, PSN is down, and I can’t help but miss the service.
Sunday is mother’s day so make sure you do something special for your mom, and also make it your priority to spend some time with her if possible. Because of the significance of the weekend, I’ll be quite busy. The men of our local Church are taking over service on Sunday, and my role in the whole thing is critical – my entire weekend is already consumed; and I’m eagerly looking forward to all the activities.
I just beat Uncharted 2 again, but I doubt I’ll be able to play more games this weekend. I’d play if Killzone 3 was online…
Show your mother some love, folks. Enjoy it.
What’s happening on your end?

just finished a graduation for afamily member.. now tryin to plan a mother’s day event for mom… gave gaming a break for a while…
Awesome. Hope it all goes well. Surprise her! Have a great weekend.
yesterday was at the infamous 2 launch party, the guys are such smart asses!

i think there still smarting a little over the backlash from E3, you can tell they did not want to change chole back, they kept teasing us.
they got a good sense of humor though, i tried to squeeze some beta codes out of them but no luck.
i tried to squeeze a date out of them but all they could say is within a week of the US date.
i tried to squeeze some info about sly cooper 4, but, well, you get the hint.
so amazed by the game, they showed us a never before seen boss battle that they will be unveiling at E3.
2nd largest boss in the game, obviously the beast is the largest.
sticky grenades and lightning from the sky is back, and we also got to see how chole gets his ice or fire powers.
half way through the game you meet 2 characters, you have a choice to befriend the evil one and she gives you fire powers, or befriend the good one and she gives you ice powers.
best part though is there is upgrades for each attack.
in infamous you had one attack and thats it, but now for each attack there are several varietys.
bioleach is highly upgraded now, instead of bioleaching a enemy once hes down you can actually do it in combat.
and instead of it working on only one person, everyone within a perimeter drops dead!
the original was about precision, hitting one enemy for one kill.
the powers in this though are more about destruction, hitting many enemies and everyone hit killed.
i have to say the tornado is by far my favorite new move, its so cool it rips apart buildings, lifts cars, enemies, if you can see it, its going flying!
ah, got be so freaking excited for it i want to go grab the original now!
today was a nice relaxing day, took the family and my cuzs out to dinner.
feel so sorry for my aunti, she just got back from Singapore and she broke her wrist there.
some holiday!
oh well, i guess thats what happened when you get old.
so much for getting some of my tafe work done!
been out all weekend, and im going to be out most of the week.
figures, when i cant do my work i have nothing on, and when i can do my work i have everything on!
Nick, why didn’t you let us know you were going to such an event? You’d give us some great coverage in AU! Sounds like you got lots of details from it….Good stuff.
i dident know.
sony rang me the day of the event telling me i won.
im lucky i was able to go, i was suppose to go out for lunch but i got out of it postponed for next week.
Having a lot of fun this weekend. I saw Fast Five : now one of my favorite movies of all time. it’s awesome.
.
On the gaming front not much is going on. offline game play is so outdated right now. SP is still essential and i enjoy it tremendously. I probably wouldn’t ever want to see it go but online MP is severely missed.
.
I need both options all the time.
@Nick: Okay cool.
@ExclusivesMostly: I totally agree with you on the gaming point, that’s why I wrote this article. It’s not that offline gaming is dead, but connecting with other players seem like so much more fun now…It truly does.
