Get Ready For Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3

You knew it’d soon show up, and now, according to PlayStation Official Magazine UK, Activision will reveal the next COD Modern Warfare title in its next issue. If that’s the case, surely there’ll be an internet reveal before then.

Rumors concerning Modern Warfare 3 have been running rampant for some time now, yet we knew sooner or later Activision would unveil what’s without a doubt the “biggest game in the world”.

Will It Be Different?

Activision’s hoping to bring something fresh to the table, especially since the Battlefield 3 reveal, the DICE-developed game that’s left the media and gamers alike wanting more. But Activision knows the competition is becoming stiff, and so, in its last investors call, the mega-publisher said it was to form a studio dubbed Beachhead Studios, and the sole purpose of the team would be to create new digital content for the Call of Duty series. It’s an “all-new digital platform” for the CoD franchise, apparently, and it would come complete with a suite of online services to “super charge the online experience,” and “integrate online and console together for the first time.” That studio’s already been formed. The bar, hopefully, has been raised.

The Beachhead project has been under development for more than a year, and more information is expected to be released soon.

Opinion:

We’re really hoping Activision step up the game with Modern Warfare 3 and bring us something different. A lot of gamers are hating on them now, but it was because of Activision and the revolution it brought about with Modern Warfare, why we’re here today. I’m looking forward to this with fingers crossed.

You?

eh, i remember a few weeks ago EB had a preorder MW3 sign up.
could be a misprint though, i remember last year PSM3 had listed the alpha protocol review to be in the next issue when it was not out for another 5 months.
