Capcom’s just made official what was unofficially made known last week – Canadian studio Slant Six Games is developing Resident Evil: Operation Racoon City to be released winter 2011 for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.
In the game, you’ll be able to play as a part of the Umbrella Security Services, going it alone or as part of a four-way co-op mode.
In the story, the USS being given orders to eliminate all evidence of a T-Virus outbreak and kill any survivors. The US government sends out its own forces to try and expose Umbrella’s actions and uncover the cause of the outbreak.
Memorable characters from Racoon City will be included in the game including Leon Kennedy, along with iconic locations.
The new title will give fans of the series a chance to rewrite history in the series, as you experience events from Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3 from the Umbrella side.
