It’s been four years since the PS3 came on the scene in both the US and Japan, and now, finally, SCE Worldwide studios boss Shuhei Yoshida has told IGN that Sony is finally making a profit with PS3.
It’s been a long time coming, but this is really good news for all gamers.
“This year is the first time that we are able to cover the cost of the PlayStation 3,” Shuhei Yoshida said . “We aren’t making huge money from hardware, but we aren’t bleeding like we used to.”
The boss, however, said that the industry shouldn’t expect a price cut at this point, as his company instead focuses on hardware bundles and getting more stock back into retail.
“We have lots of great games coming out and innovations with Move and 3DTV, so we don’t believe this is the time for us to think about a price drop,” he said.

a 40 inch sony 3D TV is the same price as a freaking 55 inch panasonic 3D TV, AND the picture quality on the panasonic blows the sony out of the water!!!!!!!!!!

my uncle got a panasonic nero plasma 3D TV the other day and it looks absolutely AMAZING!
they are using these new panels which create the colors faster, making them much more vibrant.
plasmas have always had issues with over saturating colors making them look fake, but these are so spot on there so bright and vibrant and there not overdone they just look spot on!
ATM they are the best TV money can buy, and surprise surprise there 600 bucks CHEAPER than sonys TVs!
10000 times better, and CHEAPER!

the panasonic is what i want to get for my room, but the only problem is the smallest TV they make is 50 inches.

im going to have a problem with 3D, i spoke to a few guys that sell the TVs and there saying the smallest 3D TV planned for sale is a 46 inch!
ive got a 40 inch in there now and it barley fits!
i hope by this time next year there are 40 inch 3D TVs otherwise im going to have to miss out.
