Bodycount, A new FPS From Codemasters Will Be “Genre Defining”

Codemasters has just released some new screens and info from Stuart Black’s new effort, Bodycount, stating that it’ll be “genre defining”.

“Our core focus for Bodycount is to deliver best-in-class gun play that places the gamer at the heart of the experience,” said EP Tom Gillo.

“From the jaw-dropping devastation caused by firing into enemies or shredding the world around you in a hail of bullets, Bodycount will crystallise that moment of pulling the trigger into an exhilarating sensory overload of action.”

Bodycount will be made available in the 1Q of 2010 for PS3 and Xbox 360. Lead developer Stuart Black was also the lead guy on Black, the title from Criterion available for PS2 and Xbox.

Players will be given contemporary weapons, and the game itself will be based on whacking “Targets” at the command of the “Network”.

I suspect this one’s chaotic.
