Activision’s announced that Modern Warfare 3, over the next 9 months, will receive 20 pieces of DLC first coming to premium Elite subscribers. It’s being called Modern Warfare 3 Content Season 2012. There’s a video showing off the first two maps, and more details inside.
The first batch of DLC will see a release on January 24th first on Xbox Live, making available two maps: Liberation and Piazza. The DLC will come to other platforms at a later date. The slow drop of content will then continue into February, then March, April etc, again coming first on Xbox Live.
“With the Call of Duty: MW3 Content Season for Call of Duty Elite, we are delivering on our promise of more new content, more often, and with more variety than ever,” said Activision publishing CEO Eric Hrishberg.
After the period of exclusivity is expired, the content will then make its way to Elite members on PSN, then the Xbox Live and PSN communities together.

This is one of the reasons I dislike Activision and MS. A week is one thing, but a month is a joke!
They got their money out of me for the game but I will be damned if I buy their DLC!
