DICE Says Microsoft’s Making It Easy For Gamers To Buy PS4

After Microsoft announced monumental delay of Xbox One in eight European countries, Battlefield 4 developers took to twitter to express outrage, as the legendary studio is based in Sweden, a country affected by the delay.

Yesterday, after the delay was announced, Microsoft apologized, and said it would give a free game to those who’d already preordered the machine. But being a lead developer in videogames, and not being able to play your game on a next-gen console in your own country is quite frustrating, we imagine, and the DICE developers couldn’t contain their frustrations.

It’s surprising DICE developers would come out so forcefully on the situation, especially since EA and Microsoft are sleeping together for the upcoming Battlefield game, as all BF4 DLC will hit Xbox One before PS4 and other platforms, a la Call of Duty.

But I guess DICE and EA are two different beasts, and the delay of Xbox One is in fact making PS4 look even more attractive to potential buyers in affected regions.

Thanks, MP1st.
