Nintendo’s announced from its U.S. Nintendo Direct event that Black Ops 2 will be released on Wii U.
This announcement confirms many rumors running about gaming’s web over the past months concerning a Wii U version of Treyach’s latest effort, however it come as no surprise with Call of Duty’s proliferated history.
Black Ops 2 Wii U will utilize the console’s unique features. One, for example, is that the second screen can be used for the game’s mini-map, to activate score streaks and even to change their loadout mid-game. Wii U’s GamePad can be used as an entire second screen in two-player modes, allowing one player to play on the TV screen, and the other to play on the GamePad. Solo players can also play via the GamePad instead of the TV.
