Games Thirst – Amazing Life
Runic Games’ sequel to the hit dungeon crawler, Torchlight II, got a release date – and it’s sooner than you think. Company president Travis Baldree made the announcement on the official Torchlight II blog, revealing the game will be released on Steam and in retail on September 20.
“I don’t think there’s much else I could say that would interest you right now, so - the official Release Date for Torchlight II is Thursday, September 20, 2012. Three weeks away! We’ll announce it ‘more’ officially and bigger tomorrow. You know first! Thank all of you for being an awesome and patient community, we look forward to getting this into your hands!”
Runic Games consists of people who also worked on Diablo and Diablo II. The first game was released to positive reviews, but the lack of multiplayer was criticized. The people at Runic, though, have mended it, and implemented peer-to-peer online co-op. They have also started work on the Torchlight MMO.
