Counter-Strike: Global Offensive Launches with Zombie Mod

Today, on the Counter-Strike Official Blog, it was announced that Counter-Strike: Global Offensive will be launched with a zombie mod. The mod was developed by Valve in conjunction with Plague Fest. This mod will be exclusive to the PC.

In reference to modding in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, the blog post noted,

It was important to us as we developed CS:GO to make sure it was as moddable and extensible as any CS game. So this is just one of many mods that will be available to CS:GO in the coming months. Are you actively developing a mod for CS:GO? Let us know.”

As someone who still plays Counter-Strike: Source for the zombie mod, this is great news! Thoughts on the mod? Comment below!

    wow, that was quick!
    one thing i LOVE about valve!
    NO ONE supports their community half as good as valve does!
    not only do they give constant free content, they even work with modders and help them get their mods released, polished and noticed!
    i remember when gabe came to AU to promote L4D2 here just before it was banned he ran a competition to the best 5 mods people submitted he would visit their studio and give them feedback on the game and continued support to release.
    what other wold famous developer comes to a students house to help them with their work!?
