With the game not even out yet, Ubisoft may have jumped the gun a bit and announced the first piece of post-launch DLC for Ghost Recon: Future Soldier.

Due out on July 3rd, the Arctic Strike Map Pack adds new multiplayer maps, a new multiplayer mode, a new Guerrilla Mode co-op map, as well as six new weapons to the Tom Clancy shooter. It’s priced at 800 Microsoft Points / $9.99. Pre-orders through GameStop and Best Buy are available.

Is releasing DLC a few days after launch a bad idea?

    multiplayer, multiplayer, multiplayer!
sigh, did i miss a law passing recently that states every piece of DLC must be MP related?
what happened to the good old days of expansion packs?
    :(
RPGs get them, but if your names not fallout or borderlands than your DLC is legally bounded to online!
    why?

developers are in the mindset that when customers finish a story they dont want to go back and finish it again.
hell the game director was quoted saying that in the MP reveal a few weeks ago!
its utter BS, i would of killed to have a extra mission or 2 for GOW3!
and stig shortly after release revealed there were heaps of levels left on the cutting room floor they could of used as DLC.
for instance the level they first showed at the games reveal, where kratos is in a massive field and uses the cestus to blast through a fallen tree.
    that looked freaking epic!
in fact it looked better than every level in GOW3 put together!
