According to a rumor on PS Focus, Bethesda has cancelled Prey 2 and will make an officially announcement about the matter next week.
Citing a “reliable source”, PS Focus says the game has been canned, which would explain the lack of news on the title in recent times. There’ll apparently be an official announcement next week.
Bethesda only added fuel to fire when it said to VideoGameWriters in a response: “Thanks for reaching out. We aren’t commenting on this story.”
Prey 2 was announced in March 2011, and was set to see a release sometime this year.
