Back To Karkand Goes Live On PS3 In Europe, New Wake Island Trailer Inside

EA’s released Battlefield 3′s first DLC offering dubbed Back To Karkland on the PlayStation Store, and to celebrate, the publisher’s sent along a brand new trailer. Details below the break.

Back To Karkand will be free for all those who purchased the limited edition version of the game. It’ll also be available for free if you preordered your copy. If you did neither of the above, however, and instead purchased a regular copy of the game, you’ll have to cough up $14.99/£11.99/1200 Microsoft Points for it.

“There will be servers that mix and match maps from the base game and Back to Karkland, so you will never have to commit to playing either base game or Back to Karkand maps in your gaming session,” said DICE product manager Tommy Rydling on the EU PS Blog. The DLC goes live later today in the U.S.

@rpatrick: Ouch! I’m assuming you’re at work now so it’d be impossible to have someone turn that PS3 green….but nonetheless it’s not yet available for us…

    jets!!!!!
nice to see some more larger maps up for offer, now all we need is a more urban filled environment so we can have some proper destruction!
thats one thing thats really disappointed me with this, when i envisioned BF3 i envisioned urban streets filled with crumbling buildings and such.
i was really excited to see where the new engine would take the destruction, but its been a massive step back not forward!

Hey, there’s always more DLC, and if that doesn’t help, there’s always Battlefield 4 :D
