Battlefield 3 Back To Karkand DLC Has A Release Date, And We Know What It Is

Everything’s a secret around these parts, even DLC release dates. In Japan however, such things are trivial, hence the leak of BF3 Back To Karkland DLC release date.

We won’t say much. Instead, we’ll simply copy and paste what’s through this link.

“Release Date :2011-12-07
Developer :Electronic Arts
Copyright :© 2011 EA Digital Illusions CE AB. All rights reserved. Purchase or use of this item is subject to the PlayStation®Network Terms of Service and User Agreement.

Description :Back to Karkand is a massive themed expansion pack. It features four of the most loved Battlefield maps ever, boldly reimagined with the power of the Frostbite 2 engine. It also gives you new weapons, vehicles, dog tags, and persistence in the form of all-nes “assignments” to carry out on the battlefield.”

See how simply that was? We might even get the DLC earlier, because as Examiner points out, “due to the 7th arriving on a Wednesday, it may be possible that America/UK will see the release on December 6th, or sometime next week.” That’s it: the pack will come available next Tuesday when the US and EU PS Stores update. Xbox Live gets it one week later.

of course DICE are saying theres no set date yet, though it needs to release this year.
MW3s DLC is not set till next year, they had the jump on release schedule so its important for them to get the DLC out first too.
wish they would release more of the co-op maps too, i really enjoyed them!

Ah it’s all nonsense. I see no reason for all this secret on DLC release dates…

  • nick

because they know if the release date gets leaked and they miss the date they will get there heads chewed off!
go have a look at the comments on the PS blog when PSN was down.
every time $ony said should be back by the end of the month, the end of the month came and everyone started swearing blue because they said it would be up by then and it was not.
thats why they want to keep the release date under lock and key till there 100% certain they will be able to get it out by then.

Good point on the secrecy of release dates Nick.
I hope BF3 has another DLC pack just before MW3 launches their first. I played MW3 a little last night and couldn’t stand it. Felt like I was drudging through a swamp.

Yeah, that’s a good point. We’ll need to setup another meetup. This time, Patrick, come play!
