Quick-scoping, a feature that’s become aligned mostly with Call of Duty titles saw its removal in Black Ops, leaving many who’d become used to using it to their advantage displeased. But maker of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, Infinity Ward, will not follow in Treyarch’s footsteps as the feature will make a triumphant return in the latest game releasing on November 8th.
“Currently, you can still quick scope in Modern Warfare 3. Keep in mind though, multiplayer is always changing at this stage (new perks, new balancing, new everything all the time based on feedback), however our philosophy on that hasn’t changed since MW2,” said IW’s community manager Robert Bowling in an “ask me anything” session on reddit.
Good news for many a fan. Bad news for haters alike.
The game will be released on the aforementioned date for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.
