“[Modern Warfare 3] has been balanced, plus Commando is no longer in the game. Beyond that, you’ll have to wait and see,” Infinity Ward creative strategist said through a tweet.
The Commando perk, available in tier three, allowed Modern Warfare 2 players to trigger a melee attack from a greater distance, resulting in enemies virtually teleporting into stab range. Certain players and clans relied solely on this perk for their wins, causing rage throughout the Modern Warfare 2 community.
