Move Sells Close To 9 Million Units

In what’s turned out to be a success for Sony, the company announced at its press conference last night that its motion control peripheral dubbed PS Move has sold 8.8 million units worldwide.

“There’s no question PlayStation Move brings something unique to the table for everyone,” said SCEA boss Jack Tretton. “The PlayStation Move catalogue is unmatched.”

NBA superstar Kobe Bryant was present at Sony’s presser, demonstrating how NBA 2K12 will be lots of fun with the motion controller. Zindagi Games’ Medieval Heroes was also present. To top it off, Irrational Games boss Ken Levine surprised us at the event to announce that Bioshock Infinite would feature Move support.

Insomniac Games also announced a Move Sharpshooter bundle for its upcoming FPS title Resistance 3. Sony’s trying hard to push the device, as it’s become a natural success for the firm.

    not too shabby!
impressive in fact, considering the lack of must have titles for it!
i mean the only 2 games really worth getting it for are KZ3 and socom 4.
heavy rain worked ok with it, not great though.
