The PlayStation Store came back online only yesterday, and Gamesthirst users were already asking when would the promised “Welcome Back” package be ready. Well today’s your day, friends, It’s now available – let the downloading commence!
Here’s how you can redeem you “goodies”:
For PS3 owners, go to the ‘Welcome Back’ section in the PlayStation Store, and select 2 titles from the following list:
Dead Nation
inFAMOUS
LittleBigPlanet
Super Stardust HD
Wipeout HD + Fury
For PSP owners, go to the ‘Welcome Back’ section of PlayStation Store on your PSP system and select 2 titles from the following list:
LittleBigPlanet (PSP)
ModNation Racers
Pursuit Force
Killzone Liberation
Select your first game from “Game 1”, then return to the Welcome Back page and go to “Game 2” to select your second game out of the remaining choices available. This goes for both PS3 and PSP.
But that’s not all. Every member of PSN, who signed up for the service before April 20th, 2011, will be eligible for a free month of PlayStation Plus. Yes, you read correctly. This means all the benefits regular Plus members get, will be yours to enjoy for one month. As for current Plus subs, they’ll receive an extra “60 days added to their existing subscription at no charge. For current Plus subscribers, no action is needed as the 60 days are automatically added to your subscription.”
Sony added that “PlayStation Network users will also get 100 virtual items in PlayStation Home as a show of appreciation for your patience while Home was inaccessible. Additional content is coming soon, including the next addition to the Home Mansion personal space, and Ooblag’s Alien Casino, an exclusive game.”
Also, Sony’s offered an “On Us” set of movies from its rental service for your watching pleasure free of charge, but it’s only for this weekend.
And finally, if you’re subscriber of Music Unlimited Premium, you’ll get an extra 30 days free of charge.
This just may be the best weekend in gaming history.

What games are you getting? I’m going with Wipeout and, Um, I don’t know…..Already nabbed PS Plus but can’t get the Steel Rain DLC! Sucks!
I’m going with Dead Nation and the 2nd is still in the air. I have Wipeout and don’t play it. I am leaning towards LBP.
If you don’t have LBP, you should def get it – I might go with inFamous! Want to play it again!
