Xbox Live Free Gold Event Happening All This Weekend, Be Part Of Record-Breaking Attempt

by Ernice Gilbert on April 21st, 2011, under Hot, Microsoft, News, Xbox 360, Xbox Live

As Microsoft attempts to set a Guinness world record through Kinect Sports on Saturday April 23rd, the software giant’s giving all Xbox Live members free Xbox Live Gold membership this weekend.

The free weekend is being called Xbox Nations, and in order to be part of the record-setting event, Kinect Sports players around the world must log into Live for what will be the “largest online 100m sprint’ at 1.00pm EST or the equivalent in your region”.

Here’s how you can help MS in accomplish its Guinness goals: log into Live, inset Kinect Sports, and start running a 100-meter dash event at 1.00pm.

Every runner will be rewarded with an exclusive Xbox and Guinness World Record Avatar t-shirt.

There’s lots more concerning this on Major Nelson’s blog.
