PSPgo is dead in Japan, but in America, the situation’s entirely different.
A Sony rep’s confirmed to Industry Gamers that indeed, production will continue in the U.S., even if Japan’s shelved the struggling all digital device.
Reports began flooding gaming’s web yesterday when a Japan Sony employee blogged about the discontinuation of the handheld, and Sony confirmed the situation one day later.
Sony said the fate of PSPgo was sealed because it wanted to focus all its attention on NGP, a handheld that will see a release later this year.

ah, thank god!
they need to keep it selling everywhere they can to give incentive to developers to release there games digitally.
the NGPs going to have no UMD drive, so if its going to have a decent backwards compatible lineup they need to keep a digital only device out in the market for as long as possible.
Not buying it, however. It’s dead in my book, dictionary, vocabulary etc…
they really screwed up with this!
it was 150 bucks more then the 3000 and it had less features and parts!
then for the first 6 months or so allot of titles did not release on the store till weeks if not months after their retail brethren.
the controls are really awkwardly placed too, allot of people were complaining of hand cramps.
the shoulder buttons have no support, your fingers are constantly slipping off them, and you feel like the top of the device is slanted back you have to arch your hand to get to the shoulder buttons.
hope they learn there lesson for the NGP, the go is by far the worst device i have ever bought!
