David Cage Won’t Be Creating Games For Xbox Anytime Soon, Says PS3′s Best Console In The World

PlayStation 3 is the best console in the world gushes Quantic Dream boss David Cage, and Sony has the best first party studio’s anywhere.

All this praising comes as word broke that Cage and his team would be developing yet another PS3 exclusive, hot on the heels of Heavy Rain’s both critical and financial successes.

“The relationship on Heavy Rain has been fantastic,” he told CVG. “They trusted us from day one, supported us all the way through. It was really a very risky project [for them] and they never let us down.”

“Being a part of a company with what are probably the best studios in the world is something really pleasant for us. We’re happy to continue this relationship and create content for the PlayStation brand. But they fund our projects, so we’re staying exclusive to PlayStation.

I am very loyal in general – or I try to be. I know that trusting me is always a big risk and when people do, I feel like I owe them something. It’s not just because I want to thank them, though. We have a relationship that works, we’re excited by the platform – we think it’s the best platform out there. We’re glad to continue to work this way.”

Cage also loves the interaction between Sony internal studios, and adding he was even asked to give advise on modern FPS titles. He did say, however, that it was not Killzone 3.

“We talk to Naughty Dog, Santa Monica, Guerrilla, Media Molecule – all these great studios,” he added. “We talk about technology, best practise, how we do things – we share experience and expertise. I think that’s of real value for everybody.”

if sony really wants to beat microsoft in sales they need to release all these long awaited exclusives they have been keeping under wraps for a while

    - Eight Days
    - The Getaway
    - Brave Arms
    - Ni-Oh
    - Final Fantasy Versus XIII (If Stays Exclusive)
    - Agent
    - MediEvil PS3
    - StarHawk

I mean sony has already announced all the games for 2010, these title releases will definitely solidify sony as the best console platform next year, there would be so much diversity it’ll be amazing, not to mention the other stuff we could have quantic dream, guerilla games, naughty dog, media molecule, shoot even kojima productions. its looks like after this year sony is still gonna be running the show, let sony put the killzone, uncharted, resistance, LBP series to rest and see what else they have in store for us

Agreed with you there, Ghost. But you CANNOT forget Syphon Filter…phew – one of the best Sony exclusives ever. But yeah, give the Uncharteds, the Killzones etc a rest, Sony, give us a breath of fresh air. Agreed, Ghost.

amen to syphon filter, but i doubt it, been too long.
medievil would be cool, but again been too long so i doubt it.
8 days is probably likley, because they put it on hold to finish eyepet.
    eyepet is done, so.
id rather see the getaway 3 though, only game that ever was able to stand upto GTA!
and come on, how many games like this do we have?
would kill to see the getaway 3 finally release!
while were dreaming, i have to throw out a new crash bandicoot game.
if not, then at least a HD collection of 1,2,3,CTR and bash.
