There’s supposed to be a US PS Store update incoming tomorrow, but pulling it off might be a tricky proposition, as Sony’s announced it’ll take down the store for a few hours for maintenance purposes. But that’s not all, there’s talk circulating in PlayStation circles that Sony’s planning to revamp PSN in an effort to keep it “phresh”.
During the “rephresh”, you’ll be unable to access:
- PlayStation Store on PS3 and PSP.
- PlayStation Network Account Management.
- PlayStation Network Account Registration.
Meanwhile, on the EU PS Blog, registered user Roxas598 said in the comments section:
”Oh yeah Ross any plans to re-design the store?? kinda like WLM change the desgin every year to keep it phresh Lol.”
To which Ross McGrath (from the PlayStation Store Team) replied:
“There is some activity in this area actually, nothing to share yet.”
We’ll see what’s going on soon enough. But if there’s a revamp coming, I welcome it with open arms. In my humble opinion, Sony’s got ways to go in comparison to Xbox Live’s dashboard.
Thanks, TSA.
