Just the code supplied in the Epic Edition of Bulletstorm won’t get you in on the Gears of War 3 beta. According to Gears of War executive director Rod Fergusson, you’ll need the disc of the game also.
“You need the disc,” he said. “The Epic Edition code only adds a button on the Bulletstorm main menu.”
So if you’re getting the beta code via Bulletstorm, you’ll be in on the Gears 3 fun early. It also seems as if early comers will get some exclusive content.

glad i did, i got 500 bucks for it and now that the new 360s are out there only selling for around 300.
might get a new one, i dunno i got 2 ps3s now thanks to my 3D redemption pack so i might sell one of those and use the cash for my 360.
