The moment we’ve all been waiting for has arrived. Sony’s announced the PSP2.
Codename “NGP” for Next Generation Portable”, the PSP2 features a 5-inch OLED screen and dual thumbsticks.
A trailer was shown displaying the console’s concept, including the words “Play Life” and “The Power is Now in Your Hands”.
It will come WiFi-ready, and also features 3G and GPS. It’ll also feature front and rear touchpads and an electronic compass. The PSP2 has SixAxis movement controls and front and rear cameras, as previously reported.
There were many games shown running on the device that caught many by surprise. Games like Uncharted, LittleBigPlanet WipEout, Resistance, Broken, Reality Fighters and more. Sony said it renders graphics like the PS3.
PSP2′s new interface was also demoed by Sony, with the hardware giant adding that’s it’s user-friendly, touch-based, and features a feed that shows what your friends are up to.
Another amazing feature is called “Near”, said feature will show you what other gamers in your area are up to.
