I love Atari. Well used to but the former console maker has been on an infinite downward spiral lately, and I can’t help but feel the pain with them. I owned a Jaguar you know. Remember that console?
Anyway.
The company has released its financial results for the year ending on March 31st, and has posted revenues of $142.5 million, which is down by over 15 percent from last year.
Sales were down due to the company’s decision to release fewer games, but the ones they did release performed well. They include, Champions Online, Ghostbusters, Star Trek Online and Backyard Football 2010.
Due to the aforementioned MMOs, online sales were up by 11 percent compared to 2 percent the year prior.
