PSN should also be up by this morning, according to the reps, so hopefully all should be well. But We’d advise all PS3 phat owners to keep your systems off, until further notice. Said systems are reverting their clocks to 12/31/99, for some unknown reason. Keep them off.
[UPDATE]: Sony has responded to the situation saying:”PSN status update: We’re narrowing down the issue and continue to work to restore service to all. Updates as soon as we have them.”“PSN status update (part 2): Readers/followers are confirming that “slim” units (120/250 GB models) are connecting normally.”
We’ll Keep you posted.
Original Story: Before major news broke just a while ago about the crash PSN had experienced, I tried playing Assassin’s Creed II offline, didn’t work. The same error code, 8001 1050F came on my screen, informing me that there was a problem loading trophy support.
I then popped in Killzone 2 (all this while offline, not on the PlayStation Network), and the same thing happened, it said there was a problem loading trophy support, therefore I could not play the game.
When I finally visited the internet, via my PC, I saw many reports across the web reporting PSN issues, but none concerning offline gamers, (folks without internet connection). So I went and tried those same two titles again, Killzone 2 and Assassin’s Creed II, and now, all I see is a black screen.
Nothing. It then read in all caps: “NO LOCALIZATION FOUND.”
something, whatever it is, has gone terribly wrong.
