After receiving extremely poor reviews and failing to connect with a wide fan base, Square-Enix has completely overhauled Final Fantasy XIV, which is now called ‘A Realm Reborn’. A new trailer below the break embodies SE’s plans for the MMO.
“Since announcing our plans for the future of the title last October, we have been working tirelessly to include all of the elements that we have promised in Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn,” said Naoki Yoshida, producer/director of Final Fantasy XIV. “This new title not only becomes a symbol of a completely new Final Fantasy XIV, but also marks the beginning of a new stage as the latest title in the Final Fantasy series. I hope you’re looking forward to it!”
A PS3 release of the game will coincide with A Realm Reborn’s release this winter.
Would have been nice to see some ingame footage. I was really excited for this before the ill fated launch. I wanna believe in it….but cant. Maybe once I see some ingame stuff and a list of all the fixes tweaks I will fox with it. MAYBE……..
