Soon You’ll Be Able To Turn Off DualShock 4′s Light Bar

According to popular and reputable games journalist Geoff Keighley, an upcoming PS4 update will allow for disabling of the PS4 light bar, a source of much contention in terms of preserving battery life for the controller. Previously, Sony boss of Worldwide Studios Shuhei Yoshida said that it would not be possible to turn off — or even dim the light.

“Just interviewed [Sony Worldwide Studios boss Shuhei Yoshida]“, Keighley tweeted, “and he said that upcoming PS4 firmware will let you turn off light bar on controller!”

Sony’s working overtime to make sure they deliver what gamers are asking for, and that’s a good thing.
