This is what you’ll be able to do during your breaks from gaming.

The “first wave” of Xbox One applications, as Microsoft calls it, is out in the wild. What’s below will be available at launch, and of course, more will be added down the road.

  • Amazon Instant Video
  • Crackle
  • CWTV
  • ESPN
  • FOX NOW
  • FXNOW
  • HBO GO (listed as “coming soon”)
  • Hulu Plus
  • Machinima
  • MUZU TV
  • Netflix
  • Redbox Instant by Verizon
  • Target Ticket
  • TED
  • The NFL on Xbox One
  • Twitch
  • Univision Deportes
  • Verizon FiOS TV
  • VUDU

These apps are US-only, and require an Xbox Live Gold account. The other regions will get Machinima, TED and Twitch, with Netflix being an option in Brazil, Canada, Mexico, Ireland, and the UK.

The below first-party apps will be available to all regions on launch day:

  • Xbox Fitness
  • Xbox Video
  • Xbox Music
  • Internet Explorer
  • Skype
  • SkyDrive
  • Upload

Will you use any of these, or is it purely gaming for you?
