Xbox One media achievements introduced

Get achievements for watching movies and shows.

Did you manage to watch a whole season of How I Met Your Mother on Netflix for your Xbox One? Awesome, you might get an achievement for it!

Microsoft released a “first look” image of what’s called “media achievements” for their upcoming Xbox One console. Separate from gaming achievements, these are rewarded you for spending time watching stuff on your Xbox One. Seriously.

While Microsoft said there will be “benefits” for gaining media achievements, they are not yet known.

So, will we now have movie/show wars apart from game wars? Marathons for movie achievements? Let’s see! The Xbox One releases on November 22 in thirteen regions.
