The Reason Why Sony Changed PS Vita’s Screen From OLED To LCD

Some were disappointed to learn that Sony’s newly announced PS Vita Slim won’t feature the same OLED screen as the old Vita, but Sony’s got a simple reason for the change.

Speaking to Nikkei, Sony’s Andrew House said: “The main reason is that the LCD panel can now realize an image as high quality as that of the OLED panel.” House added that another reason was because LCD made it easier to slim down Vita.
