Microsoft Buys “Xbone” Domain

The same domain the company’s Major Nelson finds “disrespectful”.

The Xbox One, or XB1, Xbox 1, or Xbone — the latter being the favorite of the internet, and one Major Nelson, Microsoft’s Xbox frontman deems “disrespectful” to the teams who built the console, has been scooped up by Microsoft, Fusible, a site well versed in domain finding, has found.

Just two days ago on NeoGAF, when asked what he thought about Xbox One being called Xbone, Major Nelson, with his newly minted GAF account, said: “It disrespects the teams that have put in thousands of hours (already) into the development of the product. Sure, it’s cheeky but I don’t care for it myself.”
