Origin adds free 24-hour return feature

Origin adds free 24-hour return feature

EA’s Origin now offers a free 24-hour return policy on any of the publisher’s games.

The time limit kicks in the moment you activate the game, and lasts for a week after purchase or release (if it’s pre-ordered).

EA spokesperson Thierry Nguyen wrote about it on the official Origin blog.

“If something doesn’t work out – you aren’t riveted by the storyline, or sucked in by the action, or even just if the game doesn’t play well with your video card – we’ve got your back.

Requesting a refund is quick and easy. Just visit your order history and click the ‘request a refund’ link next to your recent purchase, answer a few quick questions, and we’ll take it from there.”

This comes completely out of the blue, as EA mentioned during the SimCity launch  period that no refunds would be given, only to later backtrack for specific cases and to offer free EA games later on. The refund policy is now live in 20 countries, but will be available to everyone come September.
